Transport for Bucks advised Dorney residents, in early May 2021, that we had been carefully selected, with 9 othere areas, to be the subject of a Parking Review.
This works by trying to include every single parking restriction method that exists into Dorney's 13 roads - and then asking residents through an incomprehensible website whether they think the restrictions are a great idea - or not.
As far as we are aware, nobody in Dorney has asked for this. The Parish Council knew nothing about it until the letter from TfB landed on our doorsteps.
The Dorney Traffic Working Group responded to the Transport for Bucks informal discussion on 14th April with the document below, indicating that there was no need for such restrictions and what was needed was a sensible review of the current parking issues and alternative solutions that would cost the tax payer nothing. George Sandy, County Councillor, indicated his support.
Together with 12 questions for TfB to answer in order to provide clarity regarding their plan:
We understand that this was on the Agenda of the Dorney Parish Council meeting on 11th May 2021. We will advise any further developments following that meeting.
