In January 2019, a request was submitted by Eton College for pre-application advice to South Buckinghamshire District Council regarding a proposed residential development at Court Farm, Dorney Common in relation to the redevelopment of a number of barns and outbuildings into 20 x new residential dwellings.
During a meeting and subsequent written feedback, the Council drew attention to the fact that the site falls within the Green Belt and therefore the types of development that are deemed acceptable are very limited.
To proceed, it was stated that if Eton College wishes to develop the outbuildings as residential dwellings the crucial first step of the process is to establish that the barns and outbuildings are "previously developed land".
The document, below, was submitted by Clearbell, on behalf of Eton College, in November 2019 addressing this issue. The conclusions are that some of the existing buildings may be developed and some may not.
